Giant iHerb Haul! Ft: Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay and Real Techniques!

Hey guys!

As of late, my skin has not been pleased with me, so I felt the need to try out new skincare. I have recently been blessed with painful cystic acne breakouts around my temples and chin, so I needed a product that could help calm down those angry spots. I had heard plenty of people raving about the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay, so I knew I needed to give it a try!

IHerb seems to be the only retailer which ships to Australia that stocks the product - so I figured I may as well haul some other items I have had my eye on! They have really quick shipping and amazing pricing on all their products so it was easy to justify this haul.

Giant iHerb Haul!

Lets's begin with the skincare/haircare items I purhased. First and foremost, I would like to commend iHerb on how they ship their items. They have never sent me an item that has spilled over or broke during transit. Everything is packed very well, so well done iHerb!

Giant iHerb Haul!

As you can see above, I purchased a jar of Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil by Healthy Origins. The reason for this purhase is for use in my hair during the winter months. I am definitely in need a new hair mask! As the colder months have begun, the transition from the extreme cold to artificially heated rooms and trains has really started to dry both my hair and my skin. I feel the coconut oil can boost hydration back into my locks (and potentially skin if I am not too sensitive to it).

For my skin, I purchased two items - the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay I mentioned above and 100% Pure Jajoba Oil by Desert Essence. I plan on using the clay mask once a week or fortnight to help control my recent acne outbreak and the Jajoba oil to remove heavy makeup from my skin and potentially moiturise my skin during that process as well.

In addition to skincare, I have had my eye on new makeup brushes (because my collection never seems to be big enough). I already own a whole set of Zoeva brushes (review will be up soon!) and a whole lot of Real Techniques, Ecotools, Sigma and E.L.F brushes. Even with all these brushes, I still feel I need more - it could be the shopping addict or hoarder in me justifying all this - as I get a little lazy washing my brushes, so it's nice to have multiple brushes on rotation.

Anyway lets begin with the Real Techniques brushes I purchased! I HEART Real Techniques brushes soooo much! They are always really high in quality, super soft and super affordable! I only purchase my Real Techniques brushes off iHerb as the price of them are so affordable when bought off the site. I feel they are quite pricey if purchased directly from Priceline, so I don't mind waiting a couple of days for mine considering how much I can save. I purchased three sets and two intividual brushes.

The individual brushes I purchased are the Your Finish/Perfected Stippling Brush and Your Finish/Perfected Blush Brush. These have been on my wish list for awhile now so it was about time I got around to buying them. Now to the sets I purchased! Two are super special to me so I'll talk about them first! I purchased two limited edition brush sets - the Nic' Pics Set and the Collector's Edition Sculpting Set. I'm not 100% sure if the Collector's Edition Sculpting Set is limited edition or not, so don't quote me on that, but I feel like it is... Either way, both these sets are BEAUTIFUL! They both have a metallic finish that feels so special. I'll also review both these sets soon, I promise! The last set I purchased was the Your Eyes Starter Set. I have been getting into eyeshadow as of late and my little collection of eye brushes aren't enough when the eye look I'm trying is quite complex, so I decided to pick up this set for some variation.

I purchased two more brushes for my collection and these are by E.L.F. I love E.L.F brushes as they are super cheap and the bristles are amazing and soft! These brushes are such high quality considering the price tag. I would say the quality feels like a Real Techniques brush - with the exception of the handle. The E.L.F handles and ferrule seem to come apart after some time. This doesn't affect the bristles which is great and is so easy to fix with a little bit of super glue, so it doesnt bother me. Especially considering the $3 pricetag, it's easy to overlook. I bought the Eyeshadow "C" Brush and Stipple Brush to add to my collection.

Now one last item I recieved in my package was a gift from iHerb. I love that when I buy something off the site, I always receive a little gift from them. It makes me feel like a valued customer! This time round, I was gifted a little set of measuring cups! Such a perfect gift considering the items I purchased - great and useful for me to use when measuring out my mask mixture and for scooping out the Coconut Oil.

If you haven't purchased off iHerb before, I highly recommend it! I assure you, you won't be disappointed! I actually have a 10% off code (TNS033) with iHerb for you to use on your first order! Perfect for use on the already super CHEAP prices they offer, so get shopping!

The Balm Smoke Balm Palettes Volume 1 & 2 Review And Swatches!

The Balm Smoke Balm Palettes Volume 1 & 2 Review

Hello all!

Today I will be reviewing and swatching two eyeshadow palettes by The Balm. The Balm Smoke Balm Palettes Volume 1 & 2 are chic, sleek, simple and amazing to use. There are three shadows in each palette that directly complement eachother and make the classic smokey eye look easy to achieve. In each palette, there is one matte shade and two shimmery shades.

The Balm Smoke Balm Palettes Volume 1 & 2 Review

The Smoke Balm Volume 1 palette is the darker palette which contains deeper, neutral brown toned shades. Blaze is a deep and shimmery black shadow. Spark is a gorgeous matte medium-deep cool toned brown shade - that almost pulls grey - and Flame is a beautiful champagne gold toned shimmery shadow. All of these shadows are beautifully pigmented, buttery soft and easy to blend with minimal and close to no fallout during application. They are long wearing and a little goes a long way with these shadows. I barely needed to touch them in order to makes these swatches, which were made on my forearm WITHOUT a primer!

Smoke Balm Volume 2 is a more earthy palette with shadows that are less intense than its counterpart. When I say 'less intense', it is not in reference to the shadow quality - which exactly like its counterpart - is AMAZING in pigmentation and texture. 'Less intense' in this context, refers to the depth of the shades. If you find blacks and deep browns intimidating, then this is the palette you should purchase. The shades are not as deep, thus the smokey effect is more hazey and easier to pull off. In this palette, the deepest shade is Kindle which is a gorgeous deep green shimmery shadow. The matte shade is Glow, which is a warm toned earthy brown. The lightest shade is Combust, a stunning yellow toned gold shimmery shadow. Here are the swatches of this palette which like its counterpart, were swatched with the lightest touch and without a primer.

As you can see, both these palettes are amazing and I am definitely loving them! They are so simple to use which is what makes them so attractive - and the amazing quality, an added bonus. These shadows are great when used dry but can also be used wet for extra intensity. I hope my review is helpful for you! If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to leave a comment!

I Love... The Most Delicious Body Washes!

I Love... Body Washes

Hey guys!

My post today is on these absolutely delicious body washes! I have been on the look out for some body washes that are so delicious, they would make me want to eat myself! Getting into the cooler months, I find it harder to get out of bed. It's too chilly in the morning and it's dark - I just want to stay warm in bed, where it's cosy and warm and being in totally unflattering pyjamas is completely acceptable!

Anyway I find that when it's too cold to do anything - but you have to anyway - having a warm shower with a body soap that's refreshing and uplifting and downright delicious just wakes you up and makes you feel amazing! These two body soaps by I Love... do exactly that! They make me feel so good in the morning. They smell like what it says on the bottle, like strawberries and cream and vanilla cupcakes! The gorgeous scents just wake me up and make me feel good every morning, the perfect thing for this cold weather. If you're after a gorgeous pick me up every morning, one that makes you feel good every morning, try these body soaps by I Love... you won't be disappointed! To add to this, these body washes are ultra moisturising and the scent linger's for awhile, making it basically a delicious perfume for the day too! I purchased mine off Ozsale a couple of weeks ago and the sales arent on often so I can't link it, but I am certain the I Love... products are available at Target, so check them out. I bet you'll love them!

Giant The Balm Haul!

Giant The Balm Haul

Hey guys! I come bearing another haul post again (and theres a few more to come) as this girl has been caught between what feels like a million and one sales! Ozsale has been having quite a number of sales on American high end makeup and I was fortunate enough to have enough money in my savings - to blow on makeup. Long story short, I bought a LOT from The Balm cosmetics (which I am a GIANT fan of) so lets get cracking!

The Balm Meet Matt(e) and Meet Matt(e) Nude

Let's begin with the matte eyeshadow pallettes I bought. I purchased both installments of the 'Meet Matt(e)' range - Meet Matt(e) and Meet Matt(e) Nude - which consists of beautiful pigmented matte shadows. I actually purchased the original Meet Matt(e) off Luxola.com and the Nude palette from Ozsale. I can't seem to locate the original palette on The Balm's website, so it may be discontinued, so if you like the shades, go for it before it's gone! I won't get into too much detail as to how great the shadows are as this is a haul post, but I'll just be clear about the fact EVERYTHING I bought was a winner in my books!

The Balm Nude 'tude eyeshadow palette

Next up is another eyeshadow palette - and this one is very well known in the blog-o-sphere, the Nude 'tude eyeshadow palette. I have heard many positve reviews on this palette and the shades are nice and warm which is what I like; so why not give it a go?

The Balm SmokeBalm Palettes

Now to the last eye items I purchased - the SmokeBalm Palettes! I thought these were super cute and had previously seen swatches which looked INTENSE, so I picked them up! I purchased both Volume 1 and 2 as they both looked too pretty I couldn't help myself.

The Balm Frat Boy and Down Boy blushers

Next we enter the territory of blushers! Oh my God, I have wanted to try these blushers for so long! I have pondered this purchase before, but this time I didn't even blink. They were in my basket the second I laid my eyes on them! I purchased the infamous Frat Boy and Down Boy blushers - and these guys are so beautiful, the pricetag is justified.

The Balm TimeBalm concealer

Last but not least, I purchased the TimeBalm concealer. I love this product! I have already owned and used it for over a year, but I have been too tanned for the shade I already own so I decided to purchase a darker shade.

And there you have it - a giant The Balm haul! I am still waiting for my NARS and Eyeko items to arrive but when they do, you'll know first!

Love,
Nur x
